So get this. The rig CryTek shipped with the SDK uses the wrong axis for its joints! (It might also just be me, and my current up axis… but I digress.) What’s worse is I just spent the last two-three days re-rigging that skeleton to make it more compatible. (Any question what “incompatible” means, just go check out my latest YouTube video. And pay close attention to what’s going on with “Testguy.” Well, today… and most of yesterday were devoted to “Testguy-2” And he’s finished. He’s still not perfect, and I’m not showing any pics just yet… But I’ve taken some huge steps today towards getting custom characters into CryEngine 3 SDK. A necessity for Tophat, rest assured.
