Working on a New Toy

I’m working on a new toy for the Unity Asset Store. I don’t know what I’m going to call it yet, but it’s essentially a modular in-game building system that I will be packaging as my latest plugin. After I finish, I will of course be updating my old plugins as well.

More details to come soon! I was just excited and well, now the proverbial cat is out of the bag.

Writing Weapon Scripts

At this point we have three files. A material (baseball_bat.mtl), a third person geometry file (baseball_bat_tp.cgf) and a first person character file (baseball_bat_fp.chr). It’s not enough to get a weapon into the engine. But to test that it’s working (and we should at this point) we could drag the CGF file into a map as level-geometry. To test the CHR file, use the Character Editor.
